Gaining Confidence Through the HCG Diet Part 2

Hi, It’s Marga Ramirez again.

So, I have been receiving emails and queries after sharing my success story of the HCG diet. Questions are specifically on the foods that I eat during Phase 2 as to people who don’t have not much weight to lose.

As I was saying, I was skeptical at first because I am not obese but I gained weight due to the worldwide lockdown in the heights of the pandemic. So I will be sharing with you my VLCD journey on the HCG diet.

The Second Phase of the HCG Diet

The protocol of the HCG diet is to maintain the 500 calorie intake during the second phase. Along with this are the daily shots of HCG injections. My first week was memorable because I have had headaches and was a bit hungry. But, it stops eventually as the HCG spreads in the system. I started the second phase with a healthy diet.

Instead of spending a quarantine period in my home,  binge eating, or emotional eating, I make a commitment to lose those extra pounds and inches. One proven approach to dieting and successful weight loss would be the HCG Diet.

What Did I Learn on Phase 2 of the HCG Diet?

I learned that the meals should center around natural, whole foods that are nutritious and beneficial to your health. Eating more fruits and vegetables including broccoli, carrots, and grapefruit helps get through the VLCD. Combining these foods will increase your intake of both antioxidants and natural vitamin C, which is important to strengthen your immunity during the pandemic.

The highlight of my Phase 2 journey is substituting my unhealthy indulgences with healthier options. They are guilt-free and helpful with the weight loss process.

Food Swapping

  • Cauliflower rice instead of white rice for a well-rounded diet. After being hailed as a low-calorie alternative to white rice, cauliflower rice has become popular.
  • Swap out pasta for zucchini noodles to cut calories and carbs. Zucchini noodle is an excellent substitute, with three times lower in carbs than pasta.
  • Replace bread and buns with lettuce wraps. If bread is tripping up your healthy eating plan, swap in vegetables like lettuce. Bread alternatives will allow you to continue enjoying your favorite foods while sticking to the diet.
  • Drink a glass of lemon water instead of sodas. Water is generally a very low-calorie beverage that helps curb down appetite. Lemon water also flushes toxins out from the body and tweaks the body’s digestive processes in ways that block fat absorption.
  • Vegetables and fruits instead of junk foods. Snacks can either improve your overall diet quality and provide benefits, or they can simply add to your consumption of things like sodium and sugar. Choose the healthier option.

That’s how I gain my confidence through the HCG diet. Lately, I have been setting goals for another round of HCG to reach my summer-fit-body goals. I will just share my journey soon. Try the HCG diet now!
